About Mark Cruver
Mark Cruver is an educational professional based in Fayetteville, Georgia. With over twenty-five years of experience in higher education, Mark has a proven track record of guiding students to their fullest potential. His biggest goal is to create an environment that allows everyone’s gifts and talents to shine, giving them a chance to thrive and succeed.
Before Mark Cruver could speak to the world about education, he had to obtain one. He earned his standard teaching diploma from Evangelical Training Association/Bryan College. Following that, Mark earned his BA in Christian Education. In 2000 he graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a Master of Education degree in College Student Affairs. Finally, Mark went to the University of California-Irvine for his Independent Educational Consultant Certificate. This gave Mark Cruver precisely what he needed to pursue his passions and career.
Over the years, Mark Cruver has held several higher education and administration positions. In 1996 Mark signed on with Bryan College, where he ultimately worked several different roles for the school. These roles included Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management, Director of Admissions – International Student Advisor, Assistant Director of Admissions, Admissions Counselor, and Adjunct Professor. During his time with Bryan College, Mark successfully increased positive enrollment while reducing expenses. His responsibilities included maintaining a balanced budget for recruitment, student affairs, management, and more.
Following his time with Bryan College, Mark Cruver moved to Frank Cawood and Associates, Inc., where he was their Human Resource Manager. This gave him more experience in the corporate world, requiring him to manage seminars, health benefits, and organizing personnel records. Here Mark learned so much about leadership and what it takes to care for one’s people. It was the perfect opportunity to increase his counseling skills, putting the interest of his employees first.
Currently, Mark Cruver can be found at Capstone Educational Consultants in Peachtree City, Georgia. He founded the company in 2015 and still acts as owner and Consultant. Capstone Educational Consultants, also known as CEP, is a personalized consulting concept to provide local institutions with testing centers, tutors, high school counselors, and college representatives. Alongside these services, they offer seminars and workshops on various topics, with some of their most successful centered on college admissions. Their success has earned them significant attention, alongside a few partnerships with SACAC, NTPA, HECA, and IECA.
Mark Cruver has spent a significant amount of his life sharing his experiences and lessons with the world. In 2022 he published his first novel, “HELP! My Teen Isn’t On Track To College.” It’s designed to help parents navigate the college admissions process, getting a better understanding of what is to come. This desire is part of the reason why he founded and still runs Capstone Educational Consultants, as it enables him to help others through this complex process. Naturally, Mark Cruver has been a guest and presenter for many events. In 2022 he attended the SACAC Conference, where he gave a presentation on “Creating Exceptional Campus Vist Experiences.” This is only a recent example of his work – those interested should visit his site for a more extensive bibliography.
